On September 26-27, 2019, the 6th General Assembly of the SafeLog project was held in Zadar, Croatia, organized by KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute.
The assembly saw participation from representatives of all consortium partners:
- Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
- Swisslog
- Czech Technical University in Prague
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb
- Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics
- Throughout the event, partners presented their progress
on the project's various work packages, accompanied by in-depth discussions.
Plans were made to complete all activities by the project's official end date of December 31st, 2019, with a key focus on the final integration workshop scheduled for early December at the Swisslog Development Center in Augsburg.
The possibility of extending the project duration was also deliberated. The consortium agreed to request a 6-month extension from the European Commission. This extension would allow for real-world testing of the developed systems in an actual warehouse setting, beyond the confines of laboratory trials. Additional justifications for the extension include the opportunity to showcase the project at Automatica, a premier exhibition for smart automation and robotics, and the effective utilization of remaining allocated funds for these supplementary activities.
Furthermore, during the assembly, the prototype of the Safety Vest System was successfully demonstrated to a representative of the advisory board.
