Testing of magnetic materials used in rotating machines

Material testing is vital to ensure that products and their components can perform as intended and withstand their anticipated lifespans. This testing delivers valuable insights that help pinpoint the root cause of material failures with precision. Our laboratory provides all-encompassing solutions to assist you in making well-informed decisions regarding the quality of your products and processes.

Testing of magnetic materials used in rotating machines

Our Laboratory Center offers a comprehensive range of services for testing, measuring, analysing, and researching the vibroacoustic characteristics of machines, electrical devices, installations, equipment, and plant facilities. We perform these services both in our specialized facilities and on-site.

At the core of our noise and vibration testing capabilities are two specially designed and constructed anechoic chambers, equipped with advanced measurement instruments that enable precise assessment of various sources of sound and vibration.

In addition to the anechoic chambers, our laboratories are equipped with the following advanced equipment to successfully conduct complex vibroacoustic measurements and tests:

  • Calibrated sound and vibration sources
  • Sound level meters
  • Two-channel vibration analyzers
  • Multi-channel data recorders and analyzers for noise and vibration
  • Acoustic camera with 42 microphones
  • Computers for automated measurements and data processing
  • Shaker and vibration controller

Noise and vibration testing services include:

  • Testing, measuring, analyzing, and researching vibroacoustic characteristics: For machines, electrical devices, installations, equipment, and plant facilities, both in anechoic chambers and on-site.
  • Vibroacoustic diagnostics of rotating machines
  • Declaration and verification of noise emission values for machinery and equipment
  • Determination of sound power levels of noise sources using sound pressure
  • Determination of sound power levels of noise sources using sound intensity
  • Identification and localization of sound sources by measuring sound intensity
  • Use of sound camera for investigating noise emissions
  • Mechanical strength and vibration resistance testing of components and devices (sinusoidal, random, shock)

In collaboration with other laboratories within our Laboratory Center, we conduct comprehensive environmental impact tests on various categories of devices. Some examples of such tests include:

  • Noise testing of main drive inverters for electric trains under nominal conditions
  • Climate testing of Semi-Barriers for Railway Crossings
  • Climate testing of main drive inverters for diesel trains under nominal conditions
  • Climate testing of control cabinets for transformers in nuclear power plants
  • Electromagnetic compatibility testing of static converters
