Driver's Control Unit - ICNT
The Intelligent Controller (ICNT) gathers all driver inputs, processes them, and transmits the commands to other control units using the "X-by-wire" principle. This system allows the driver to start, accelerate, decelerate, and stop the vehicle. Moreover, the ICNT provides additional redundancy by executing the primary functions of the two main vehicle control units. This backup system ensures vehicle operability even in the improbable scenario of dual primary control unit failures.
Developed on our proprietary, long-life hardware and software platform, the ICNT supports real-time, safety-critical operations and communicates seamlessly with other intelligent units in the vehicle. It features: Two CAN communication interfaces, two RS485 communication interfaces, two general-purpose microprocessors, remote emote diagnostic functions.
