The ARCA 2019 International Innovation Exhibition took place from 17 to 19 October at the National and University Library in Zagreb, featuring a wide range of innovative solutions. Organized by the Union of Croatian Innovators, this prestigious event has been a recurring platform for bringing together leading innovators from Croatia and around the world. This year, KONČAR Group showcased several innovative solutions at the exhibition.

We are thrilled to announce that our team was honoured with the ARCA Silver Medal for our innovation: the Circuit breaker mechanism for single-pole operated GIS K8D.6-N 145 kV. The newly developed motor-spring mechanism offers a reliable and technically advanced solution for the single-pole operated GIS K8D.6-N. It meets the M2 mechanical durability class (10,000 cycles), marking a breakthrough in our development of high-voltage and eco-friendly solutions for high-voltage substations. Additionally, its compact design ensures seamless integration into the single-pole operated GIS K8D.6-N, maintaining the compact field concept of the new GIS. This solution is a result of research, careful planning, and collaboration of a project’s team members: Predrag Čanžar, Eduard Plavec, Ivan Ladišić, and Mladen Vidović.
